Spellcasting (2) #
- At 2nd level in this class you learn one Cantrip, and two spells of your choice, with one 1st level spell slot with which to cast them.
- When you level up in this class you may change one cantrip that you know with another which you have access to.
- Removed restriction on spell schools that you may select spells from.
- You may use Arcane Spellcasting focuses to cast your spells.
Eldritch Bond (2) #
- This feature includes the previous “Weapon Bond” feature.
- In addition, your Bonded Weapon counts as an Arcane Spellcasting focus which you can use to cast your spells.
Eldritch Sheathe (2) #
- As part of the Bonus Action you use to summon your Bonded Weapon, or as a Bonus Action on subsequent turns, you can expend a Spell Slot of 1st Level or higher to coat your Bonded Weapon in your choice of Cold, Fire, Force, or Lightning Damage which lasts for 1 minute, or until after your next Attack Action.
War Magic (7) #
- Replaced original feature.
- When you take the Attack Action on your turn, you can replace one of the attacks with a casting of one of your Wizard cantrips that has a casting time of an Action.
- You ignore the Bonus Action spellcasting restriction stated in the Action Surge feature: “When using Action Surge you may not cast a spell as an Action or Bonus Action until the start of your next turn”.
Improved War Magic (18->10) #
- Replaced original feature.
- When you take the Attack Action on your turn, you can replace two of the Attacks with a casting of one of your Wizard spells that has a casting time of an Action.
Eldritch Strike (10->15) #
- Additionally, if your Bonded Weapon is coated with magical energy from the Eldritch Sheathe feature then your Weapon Attacks additionally release a 15 foot cone that deals 1d8 damage — of the type selected in your Eldritch Sheathe feature — to targets inside the area.
Arcane Charge (15->18) #
- Additionally, if your Bonded Weapon is coated with magical energy from the Eldritch Sheathe feature you gain an effect based on the Damage Type selected in that feature, this effect lasts for 1 minute, or until you select a different Damage Type using your Eldritch Sheathe feature.
Cold #
- Your AC increases by 4 as the coating of Cold magic surrounding your sword spreads over your armour.
Fire #
- You gain a wreath of flame the surges to retaliate against foes who strike you. When a Creature within 60 feet of you hits you with an Attack, you can use your Reaction to cause that Creature to take 5d10 Fire Damage.
Force #
- Your Bonded Weapon gains the Light and Thrown properties, and can be used to make Ranged Weapon Attacks at a range of 120 feet, immediately after the Attack the Weapon returns to your hand. Targets within 5 feet of the target of your Ranged Weapon Attacks made with your Bonded Weapon in this way take Force Damage equal to half your Fighter Level.
Lightning #
- Your movement speed increases by 30 feet, and the distance you can teleport when using your Action Surge increases to 120 feet.
